Staying inside the Medina in Rabat and walking through the Souk nearly everyday has been a wonderful experience. Rabat is a neat city with lots to see and do both inside and outside the walls. This is my first time in an Arab country and I’ve loved learning about the religion and culture. Hearing the call to prayer five times a day and the different dress was interesting. There was lots of curiosity seen on their faces as I walked down the street, but instead of feeling weird about it, I shared a smile with them. The people are friendly and so welcoming. There’s so much beauty on every little street. The coast and river are all within walking distance of the Medina, the weather just right and the tea is always flowing!
